ALASTOR is a black metal band from Austria which has already been around for 20 years. They can be considered an essential member of the local underground scene by now. ALASTOR play a classic style of black metal with only some modern aspects. I would compare it to something like Satyricon on "Volcano", if I had to.
"Waldmark" will be released on black vinyl in fully coloured cardboard sleeve on the 1st of May 2016. You can already pre-order the vinyl from our bandcamp page for the ridiculously low price of 11€...but be quick - only 30 copies are available before the price goes up! Abbath A trip to the glory days of Immortal back to At the Heart Of Winter
Abbath
Here comes the album at last after endless name disputes regarding his old band ”Immortal”.
Abbath took matters into his own hands and went his way while holding his banner high, and keeping the blood pulsating, with ferocious guitar melodies and tremolo picking, to light the northern sky.
”Immortal ”is back, in a new shape and with a new name hailing under the name of the previous frontman of ”Immortal ”, Abbath Doom Occulta. There are new but wellknown members like King Ov Hell , known as the bass player of Norwegian Black metal band ”Gorgoroth”. He also plays in ”God Seed” along with former vocalist Ghaal, and now he has teamed up with Abbath and the drummer Creature, who has now left the band and the new live drummer has been announced as Gabe Seeber , previous drummer of American Death metal band ”Decrepit Birth.”
The album feels like a journey back to the old glory days of ”Immortal”
with wellknown albums like At the heart of winter , Sons of Northern darkness,
Melodic and fast tunes go perfect along with the bombastic music. The famous ”immortal” sound is certainly there in the fingers of Abbath,s guitar playing. Songs like Ashes of the Damned and Winterbane could easily have been taken from At the heart of winter, although the drums have a bit more variety than normal. It still has that classic ”Immortal” vibe that we all fell in love with! and of course Abbath's vocals are unique and a trademark in the sound.
The guitar sound is warm and fuzzy but its the sound we came to know as ”Immortal”, or rather Abbath's sound. The songs feel alive and very powerful. They are like a journey into the mountains. This clearly proves that Abbath still knows what he likes and what crafts a good track. The riffs are very recognizable which is a good thing , since many times it’s easy to get lost in the music, but Abbath manges to deliver without disapointment or a second to pause. One of my favorites is Count Of The Dead, a truly versatile song but yet with all those elements which I loved in Immortal.
Although there are many versatile songs on this record, those that really stand out are the first tracks . where you can feel more of a new direction , that has a darker vibe to them. The chorus is what truly brings those songs together . Perhaps people will like Abbath’s solo career as his songs sound more like the ”Immortal” we all loved.
I think Oceans of wounds and Winterbane will be hits among the fans right away. So for all fans out there Go check out this new record! You will not be disappointed !

Insision - Terminal Reckoning : A rare pearl among the many

is a death metal band from Stockholm Sweden
formed in 1997
what we have here is probably one of the sickest album to date! I have observed,
this is their 4th studio album the album has a clear dark and old school sound Terminal Reckoning is a death metal band with influences going all from old school death metal to more brutal death metal, album straight back to the early days of death metal glory,
with tremolo picking and high pitched guitar solos, and shredding like gods its hard to not love this work of art , the guitar work is brilliant and sometimes even mesmerizing.

Low tuned guitars and guttural vocals, the list is complete for a perfect death metal album, sort of, although one might think the whole grinding and such is a lot it fits the songs so well! ,
the album feels like a mix of old school and more modern brutal death metal but in the end its what it is Death fucking Metal to mange your mind!, if I may quote Giovani from Depressed,
what you see is what you get nothing less, stone crushing chugging guitar riffs, and hard hitting blast beats .Most of the albums sound reminds me of Suffocation classics like pierced from within, Effigy of the forgotten those kind of pearls that only are rare to come by these days.. The album has a clear crisp sound , no so extremely polished as todays music is,
the songs are catchy and not at all hard listen to !
although its only 8 songs these roughly 35 minutes feels almost to short.
I think so far my favorite track is number 6 Cold Air an intense little tune grind to to the masses ! Ibbe shows up amazing skills behind the kit !
catchy and groovy is just a small words to describe this album!
every song is just pure death metal a real kick in the face to all melodic stuff that has come out of Sweden! the past years!.
The whole album has a sound hailing back to the early florida death metal scene!
with songs like Infected Shapeshifting and my favorite Old Ways .when listening back to the older albums you can still so to detect that this is what is coming next ! not in a bad way , on the other hand it's perfect, it really builds up itself , although the expectations are sky high the band delivers without compromises.

Terminal Reckoning is the bands 4th full length album and rumors says it will be their final?
its a clear 9/10 rare but it does happen that album come in that definitely just blows you away!
I say if you are into bands like Suffocation,and such this is just a record you must check out!
